The Tokyo International Projection Mapping Award Vol.10 began as scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 15. Projection mapping works created by young creators, nominated through the selection process, were projected onto the Congress Tower at Tokyo Big Sight.
The Congress Tower is the iconic inverted-triangle building of Tokyo Big Sight. Eight large projectors were used to display the works on its front façade, creating one of the largest projection surfaces in Japan—approximately 30 meters high and 94 meters wide.
The young creators spent approximately four months producing their works. Judging was conducted by three leading creators, and the awards were determined and presented accordingly.
The Tokyo International Projection Mapping Award has been held for ten years by the Organizing Committee with the aim of fostering spatial video creators. The event is supported by government agencies, industry organizations, Tokyo Big Sight, and various companies and groups in the Rinkai area, and is presented as a large-scale urban event.
